All orders are processed within 1 to 3 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after receiving your order confirmation email. You will receive another notification when your order has shipped.

Untracked Lettermail
If you are purchasing 2 metres of quilting cotton or less or up to 5 patterns, within Canada, I would be happy to ship it as untracked lettermail through Canada Post. Please note the "untracked". If your parcel goes awry, there is no way to track it down and the cost for the item will NOT be refunded or the item(s) replaced. If you have any questions, please get in touch. This shipping option is ONLY available for small orders as noted within Canada. Maximum packed dimensions must be under: 380 mm x 270 mm x 20 mm (14.9 inches x 10.6 inches x 0.8 inches) and weigh less than 5 grams
Local Pickup
You can skip the shipping fees with free local pickup in Cobourg, Ontario. After placing your order and selecting local pickup at checkout, your order will be prepared and ready for pick up within 1 to 3 business days. We will send you an email when your order is ready along with instructions.
Local pickup is by appointment only. To arrange a time please contact Admin@thecommonthread.ca. Please have your order confirmation email with you when you come.
How do I check the status of my order?
When your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification from us which will include a tracking number (if applicable), you can use to check its status. Please allow 48 hours for the tracking information to become available. If you have selected "Small Packet - Untracked", you are at the mercy of Canada Post, I have no way to know when your order will arrive.
If you haven’t received your order within 10 business days of receiving your shipping confirmation email, please contact us at Admin@thecommonthread.ca with your name and order number, and we will look into it for you.
