This 92 x 96” (queen size) modern sampler quilt was made as a “100 blocks in 100 days” project for 2021. I challenged myself to work within a limited palette with this quilt; creams, greys and blacks with pops of gold. I was so pleased with the striking result. It was a fun quilt to make and to watch come together. Fabric featured in this quilt is Bee Inspired by Deb Strain for MODA. It also includes solids and blender fabrics from Northcott. There are subtle florals, bees, honeycomb and butterflies scattered throughout the blocks. The quilt back is a gorgeous dark grey floral. It’s heavy (in a comforting way); more blocks = more fabric = more weight! All 100 blocks can be individually viewed on my quilting Instagram page: @daydreamerquilts
Outer is 100% cotton, batting is 80/20 cotton/polyester. Longarm quilting completed by Lise Taber. Binding has been hand finished.
